Things Are Gonna Change!

Have you ever come to a point in your life where you thought, that's enough!

Whether it be sick and tired of being sick and tired, whether it be in a unhealthy relationship, whether it be some habit you struggle with, whether it be struggling financially every month, whether it be with your kids?...... It seems to me I remember my dad saying that a time or two - That's enough!

Whatever the reason, we see that it was almost like that statement was a stake put in the ground verbally, and that was it and the decision was made - things are gonna change!

In II Kings 7 we see the account where 4 lepers made that decision. There was a famine in the city because the enemy had besieged and surrounded it. There was no food allowed in.

BUT!!! There was a word of the Lord spoken through Elisha the prophet that things were going to change. He said that in 24 hours, things were going from famine to provision! (see vs. 1)

The lepers came to a conclusion: . ...vs. 3, 4 "Now four men who were lepers were at the entrance of the city's gate; and they said to one another, 'Why do we sit here until we die? If we say, We will enter the city- then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let us go over to the army of the Syrians. If they spare us alive, we shall live and if they kill us, we shall die.”

vs. 5 "And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians;..."

The lepers decided not to stay where they were at. They made a choice to change things, rather than sit there in the unbelief, hopelessness and fear.

Things didn't look like they were going to change anytime soon, so instead of remaining victims to the circumstance, they rose up! Better than sitting here!

When they arose, we see something else happened!

vs. 5 "And they arose in the twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. 6 For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” 7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

The lepers arose in the twilight, and when they arose here, over there...at the Syrian camp.... God moved!! He caused the Syrians to hear the noise of a great army and they ended up fleeing in the twilight! At the same time, at that moment.

When the lepers arose, God stepped in!

The lepers may not have even known that Elisha had spoken the word, but they chose to not stay where they were at. Where they were was certain death and where they were going was possible death, but possible life.

What they found was great provision - food and treasure!

Aren't you glad that we have yes and amen promises God has given us?

2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."

His path always leads to life, health, hope and provision!

When we arise and trust in the promises of God, we see miraculous things happen.

God is just waiting on us to move and to believe what He says; to decide to make a change and take our authority in Christ!

Let us arise, believe and declare the word of God and trust that as we believe here, wonderful things are happening there! because God is working things out for us!

God is faithful to His word! His word is true and He loves us!

Things are going to change - for our benefit and good!
